What are the Best Fitness Watches
Watching you stay fit
It would be an understatement to say that fitness watches are very popular these days. Go to any hike & bike trail and it is a sure bet you will see every other person wearing one. And why not? Having a tool to keep track of your fitness routine, that can be worn as a watch, has turned out to be a real game changer. The following are some of the most popular models.
Fitbit
Fitbit makes a model called the Charge HR and it is considered to be one of the best ones, especially for the price. It comes in two sizes, weighs 22 gm and is one of the few that is compatible with all three platforms, Android, iOS, and Windows. The fully charged battery has a 5-day lifespan, which is one of the best in the industry, and uses Bluetooth 4.0 for connectivity. Even though it can figure out what type of exercise you’re doing, it’s better to punch in what you are doing, for more accuracy. It comes with all the extra toppings such as an altimeter, pulse monitor and calorie counter.
Microsoft Band 2
Close on the heels of the Fitbit is Microsoft’s Band 2. This one is also a highly popular model that comes with Bluetooth 4.0 connectivity, GPS, gyroscope, skin temperature sensor, heart rate sensor, altimeter, UV sensor and many other features. It is fully compatible with the Windows phone, but will only give calendar and message notifications to Android and iOS platforms. This watch is popular for people who go to the gym and play certain sports such as golf or tennis. The battery life is only 2 days, but on the upside, it charges fast. Overall, this one is one of the most powerful watches out there in terms of capability and features.
Samsung
Samsung’s Gear fit 2 is currently one of the best and most popular from its stables. However, this watch is pretty much strictly for Android users. If you don’t have a problem with that then this one is like the Fitbit Charge HR, a lot of bang for the buck. Comes in two sizes and has all the basic features you would expect such as Bluetooth 4.0, gyroscopes, pulse tracker and so on. In fact, the Gear Fit 2 was one of the first to offer a lot of the stuff that the competition offers now. But Samsung was the first and as a result, they got a leg up on the competition and have sold quite a bit more. Overall if you are not in the mood to spend a lot of money, the Gear fit 2 and Fitbit Charge HR will give you the most value for money.
